I dont own a ca reactor and i never have owned one before, but in my 66 gal tank i plan on having a decent amount of sps...

Im wondering is this a must have for a tank with alot of sps, or does it just help growth?

If so what is a nice one for the best price?

Thanks

You can dose 2 part instead. Ive done both methods and I like 2 part better it just easier for me to keep prams stable dosing 2 part. But yes you will have to do one or the other if your planning on keeping alot of SPS

personally i would get a doser it is much more precise than ca reactor is ever gonna be..... the bubble magnus dosers are super sweet and very precision..... i have a 220 sps and i dose..... reactors go haywire once in awhile.....

you can get the head unit bubble magnus it doses 3 seperate parts.... there is also a add on for 4 more.... you really only need ca/alk/mag but i dose a bunch of other crap like strotium,potassium,vodka,mb7, lugols, amino acids, vit c, etc etc....

I manually does ca,mag, strotium, and pottassium, but nothing else..i dont think

I do does Alk, i dont know why i forgot to mention that

and ill check there

Like i said i dont know anything about these, but if i manually does most of this... should i still look into a doser?

You can dose by hand but a doser to dose Alk and Cal makes life much easier. Those are really the only 2 that have to be dosed daily all the other stuff I dose by hand since its only a small amount anyway. I just 2 BRS dosers controlled by my RK

ok i have to get a led fixture 1st then i might think on a doser

if you are going to keep sps, get a doser . i think Tom at Southcal outlet has good cheap one.

I was following along for the ride and........
Dont we all keep buying corals... I know thats my problem! I should have my mp40,leds and a doser but no, I have corals.

I really do i have to get a led fixture because my frags are taking up my 66gal and the frag tank cant support basically all of them......pc lighting
