I'm on the fence about these. I know they are top of the line for lighting, but I'm seeing a lot of reviews complaining about the app being terrible and some other issues. I'd like to feel condifient that I'm not going to have problems out of lights I plan to spend over 3k on. Thoughts?

I had a few issues with the old app where I'd make a change to the schedule but only 1-2/3 lights would update, the affected lights would return an error and then had to be reverified through the app. Sometimes it worked - sometimes I had to remove the light(s) and do a factory reset. I only had one instance where a light didn't come on - no schedule issues where the lights didn't come on or turn off as scheduled (except that once).
Since upgrading to the new Mobius app I haven't had a single light issue, light error or really anything unexpectes.
I just bought a used one and had the same fears. I really like the light! The spectrum looks great visually which was really important to me. It’s better than my AI light for sure. I do like kessils too but they shimmer too much where the radion is a subtle shimmer. I even tried a cheap smatfarm but the visual spectrum was lacking.
The app worked fine for me… it’s just harder to know how to use then a prime but it’s not freezing or losing connection. There are a lot of pre sets to choose from so you can just edit one of those. Idk it seemed totally fine to me.
The case didn’t have any cracks. I think they probably fixed that already?
They probably addressed both issues since launch.

I think they are great but it was hard for me to convince myself they were worth it at 700ish. At close to 1k, I would look elsewhere.
The light and app work great for me. Everyones line for value is different and after the ecotech price increases, I would take a REAL hard look at other options.

Upgraded from my 2 SB reef 36" extremes to 3 xr30 g5s supplemented by 4 t5s and am very happy with them so far.
