Should I get rid of these things?

I have a couple of what I believe are nudis that look just like this -

The two I've seen in my tank are only 3/8" long, too small for me to take a photo of, & are on my glass.

Should they go?

What do you have in your tank? Nudibranches usually eat either corals or anemones. I would get rid of it if you have any you care about. If not it will eventually starve.

It's an aeolid for sure (if it's the right pic) but not likely that species. They are a temperate species native here to CA so I doubt it'd last longer than an hour in our warm reef tanks. OP can you take a photo

No, they were too small for my phone camera to focus.

Zoa nudi. Revive dip all your zoas every other day.

Don’t trust Bauer dip for nudis. It just stuns them a little bit.

Nothing kills the eggs. That’s why the continuous dipping.

Look at them with a flash lite and a turkey badger
after lights out and suck up anything that’s the same color as the nudis.

If you’re lazy you can probably get them with just the turkey badger thing after lights out. They aren’t as bad as monti nudis at least.

Thanks very much for your reply Jlentz. Have you tried Salifert flat worm exit ?

I've squashed every nudi i see. About 6 so far. I'm hoping i won't end up with a nudi disaster

I wouldn’t use flatworm exit unless I had a major flatworm issue. Never heard about using it for nudis. I’d use that as a last resort if I absolutely had to.

If you can dip all your zoas you can just do that. If you can keep an eye out after dark. The zoa nudis were not that bad for me. They tend to stick close to food.

If you catch them early zoa nudis really are not that bad.

I've squashed about 6 I've found on the glass up till now. The zoas seem fine. If the nudies continue appearing I'll dip. Thanks for the advice.

Is that anything like a honey badger? I giggled at the thought of dropping a badger in my tank. [emoji12]
