I have a 180 and recently got a pigtail for the gha..he's been doing a good job on one side if the tank..I feel like the real estate is too much for him as he hasn't even gotten to the other side..with that said should I grab another one and place him on the other side of tank?

Yes. I definitely would.

If you already have a pincushion urchin then I would get a tuxedo urchin rather than another pincushion.
