So I had been battling with cyano, I decided to try chemiclean and 2 weeks went by and no change. Over the last 2 weeks my aquarium has completely cleaned up. Phosphates still 0.01, nitrates now up to 4 from 0.5. Sps and zoas growing and my algae turf scrubber is taking off. Only other change than skimmer being off is switching from instant ocean to red sea salt. So should I just leave the skimmer off and if I do what would be the long term issues just running a scrubber?
