Should I move my fuge light?

I have a small fuge in chamber 2 of my biocube. I set it up a week or so ago. When I put the algae in (mostly chaeto) it was at the bottom, where the yellow arrow is. Now though, it’s floating, where the blue arrow is (I see that that is normal but didn’t realize it would do that).

Do I need to move my light up so it’s more directly on the chaeto? I’m not sure it would get enough light now that it’s floating.

How easy is it to move the light?

The other option you might consider is putting a small piece of rubble rock on top of the chaeto so it sinks. And I'd conside noving the light halfway up the chamber rather than having it at the bottom.

Yeah it’s hard to tell how that thing is connected but I’d center it. You’ll get plenty of indirect light above and below to as the algae grows

I used adhesive mounting tape to mount it. Not horrible to move but I’ll likely be scraping off adhesive. But yeah seems like I need to move it. Live and learn!

Well, that went smoother than expected. It was on really securely but I was able to skip a blade in there and cut the tape, then just damp scraped the adhesive off the glass. Moved to the middle now.
