I realized I put my micromussa directly under the light, but near the bottom. He closes up when the light is on and I am wondering if anyone thinks he’ll benefit more of being on the side? He’s half in a shadier spot that still gets light, and then he is in the light.

I’d try moving it then leaving it for a few days to see how it does.

I actually need to readjust my lights completely. I've noticed none of my corals currently like them, as they are too intense.

I’d try renting a par meter to see what they are at and adjust them.

Brs YouTube has some good videos on par meters

A par meter measures the amount of photosynthetic light available. A handy tool for sure but not absolutely necessary.

Depending on what light and tank you have you may be able to find settings and/or enough info online to give you a good idea.

My lords are probably sitting around 150 par or so.
