hi all! new to the dosing game, I run a 10g nuvo, doing 1gal water changes weekly - which I thought would be fine without dosing but seems I have needed to start supplementing.
Over last few months I started dosing, I do water changes on Thurs and have been dosing 1mL of each b-ionic calcium/alk. Last time I tested around June (i know..test more often) my params were pretty steady for the month (tested wekly) around Alk 9.6 Calcium 430. Now that I had time, i started testing again only to find my alk much lower at around 6.5 so I started dosing only Alk about 1ml every 3days
here are the last few results
9/20: Alk 7 Calcium 470
9/25: Alk 6.4 Calcium 450
9/29 Alk 7 Calcium 440
It seems even though i'm only dosing alk its not rising much. maybe 1ml is too little, but was what I dosed previously and was working fine, though ive added maybe 3-4 corals since June.
Should i continue to just dose alk until its a good balance..and then dose equally or just dose alk since it seems to be the only one dropping?
