I'm setting up a 180 in the near future. Tank is in and sump are in, ordering lights, etc.

I have probably a 5 inch piece of HS in my frag tank. Should I do myself a favor and not put it in the 180?

I've seen some monster pieces in big tanks before, but not sure how they keep it from stinging everything. In my frag tank, I can put it in a corner with a return outlet spraying towards it so it's tentacles can't get to my other frags.

Never dealt with this coral, but a lot of what I have read indicates that they can grow pretty quickly. If it’s already 5in you may save yourself some trouble by not adding it. But like I said I don’t have any experience with this guy.

I bought a 3 inch one and put it in my 36 gallon....

If it were my tank ,, I would buy another chalice frag to go into the display ,, I guess the way I look at it ,, why grow out a frag that’s pretty common in the 180g tank,, pick one that’s not common ,, doesn’t cost anymore money to grow out something different ,, than it does to grow something common ,, put some bang in that 180 lol
