Should I QT existing fish before adding new ?

So I have a 220g display and a 110g plumbed into the same sump the 110 has a sailfin and a foxface which have not been quarantined but show no sign of any diseases the 220 is empty, I have 2 yellows and a kole in qt should I remove the foxface and sailfin to qt them and leave the tank fallow just to be safe or is it not worth it ?

You’ll get so many different answers for this question. But QT is for observation. Would you plan to treat the fish during the fallow period? Parasites can exist in your existing tank even if the fish show no signs or symptoms. It’s really about what you want to do long term. I’ve seen older systems with old fish and new fish go in that were quarantined and treated and the new fish contracted something like ich.

Yeah exactly mate , I’m treating all the new fish but hoping to add an Achilles so would rather the tank be free of anything just not sure whether it’s worth it if the fish have looked healthy for a few months now
