Should I remove everything to dial my sump in?

I have a 13.5 evo . I am adding a sump to this setup. I wanted opinions as to if I should leave my corals in the main display or move everything to a temporary tank set up while I get everything adjusted. Most of my corals are not mounted down and I don't have a lot of live rock and I would be leaving the sand in my main display. My sump will be holding the heater and ato. In the middle section I will be adding macro algae and copepods. On a side note what section would you mount the ato?

If you can plumb it and set it up without having to move the tank, I see no reason to move it; it won't affect the corals so long as they're not disturbed. I put my ATO in the return chamber.
