Here is a piece of live rock in my new coral frag set up.
There is some plant growth on this piece, should I leave it?
Should I remove it so it does take over/spread too much?
It seems to be very fast growing.

Thoughts?

Thank you

Looks to be Caulerpa to me, or at least the beginning of it. Which sub species of caulerpa, I don't know.

It will grow on anything, so for a frag tank you may what to remove it. Some people place it in their sump/refugium for nutrient export.

Argh, thanks everyone. Been out of saltwater for 10 years and thought I did not want this
in a frag tank. Just tried to remove it, Then rinsed, then used a toothbrush. I broke that rock into a few smaller
pieces and found more hiding, If it comes back, I will prob just toss that rock out. I have 25 aquariums,
but only ONE saltwater tank right now.
