I dosed approximately 1/2 fl oz thus morning for an approximately 1.0 ppm concentration. I plan on increasing it each day by 0.5 ppm until it is 2.5 ppm. I did a 25% water change this evening, so would it hurt to dose 1/8 fl oz?

It is my understanding that, if conducting water changes, the copper should be added to the new water before it is added to the tank.

It won't matter now but once you're at therapeutic levels you don't want it to drop.

Are you testing the concentration (or will you be) or just relying on the volume to be correct?

I have a Hanna copper checker. I just tested it, and it only dropped to 0.8 ppm after the water change.

Just to clarify the only reason I am dosing incrementally is because I am quarantining a Melenarus wrasse and I read that wrasses can be more sensitive to copper.

Yes, redose the copper after doing water changes. Dose based on the amount of water you have replaced. Copper Power is 1.5 mL per gallon and then double check with Hanna. If you don’t redose you won’t maintain therapeutic levels.
