Hi All,

My recent Fauna Marin ICP, I have replenished elemental I, V, Mo and Fe.
Ignoring P which I deem it is not accurate should I replenish the rest typically Se, Mn and Cu?

I have also done up a comparison table below for Mar VS Apr result.

An ICP generally cannot tell you if the tank will benefit from trace element dosing, but it's a fine experiment to try. I think Tropic Marin A and K is a fine brand to pick, if you want a commercial supplement. DIY recipes are also available.

I discuss what is worth potentially dosing and what is not here:

Welcome Gary.
As Rhf, above, explains, not all elements are biologically necessary.
Also, a replenishment plan, like all for reef, will minimize what needs to be added after your next icp test in a few months.

Hi Randy,

Recently started on 380gal project on the 09April and my mate accidentally dumped the whole box 20kg salt while the tank is still filling up with RO (probably only 15% filled then). The water was extremely cloudy from precipitation. The rest of tank was only fully filled on 14April and the whole tank still remained cloudy as of now.
What can be done next?
Get rid of 380gal of water and restart or?

I’d measure alk and calcium. If those are ok then most ions will be ok.

Make sure the water is not cloudy before testing it.

As of now is still cloudy so cannot possibly test.
What do you reckon are our options?
Discard the whole tank of water and restart?

Flow is likely preventing settling. Take out a sample and try letting it settle overnight.
