About to set up rimless tank that’s been in the Garage for about 5 years. The silicone feels fine but I would rather do it now instead of a year from now with tank full.
Anyone have any advice?

5 years is nothing. I had a tank in the garage in a crate for 20 years. No issues. UV tends to break down silicone over time but in a garage it’s not going to get much if any sun, direct light or artificial light. Also the water pressure as well in a full tank can stress a tank whereas an empty one won’t have that issue. To be safe do a water test before you bring it in. Fill it up and let it sit for a couple weeks. If no leaks you are good to go.
