So my reef has a protein skimmer and tons of surface agitation and I'm confident my fish have lots of o2 but my small aio tank is very minimal and I'm questioning o2 levels. It doesn't have a skimmer or much surface agitation (it does have a little ripple). Actually it just runs on a few pieces of LIVE rock, and then in the aio back part I have a bunch of LIVE rock rubble and a folded up piece of filter floss. The 2 damsels and giant hermit seem fine but I'm just wondering if I should add some o2?

The algae will produce oxygen during photosynthesis. Bubbles coming off means the water has maximum dissolved o2 and it realeases as a gas. I wouldnt worry but you could try anyway.

Ok thanks guys. Obviously my creatures are alive so i should know they are breathing. I've just been comparing my tank to when I go fishing and the fish suffocate quickly in my bucket of water. Maybe I'm just bored in quarantine and over thinking things

You can also buy an oxygen test kit or meter if your really worried.

There is an article by eric borneman called the need to breathe.
