Is cleaning and saving what is now algae loaded live rock worth it? I want to start another tank but it will be months from now. This tank has to be taken apart.

It's either clean it, which just isn't that hard, or buy new and spend money you really don't need to spend!

Yes thats what I was wondering how hard is it?

There are a ton of posts here about curing rock if you do a search.

Dry it out, bake it in the sun, put it in a bucket with bleach or hydrogen peroxide, rinse it off, soak it in some ro/di water and you're good to go.
