Should I scrub diatoms off my rock work?

It's water change day and my new tank has diatoms on the sand and rock work. I'm going to use a gravel vac and go over the areas of the sand that have diatoms, but should I also try to scrub it off the rock?

nah. Dont waste time. Theyre more beneficial than youd think. Especially after you go through GHA or dinos.....
Theyll go away on their own as your tank matures.
Gotta get thru ugly stages. Just practice scraping glass
Thatll be a daily chore.

Or get some Trochus snails. They've decimated the diatoms in my tank in a very short time. I have those and blue legged hermits in there doing some work.

Appreciate the guidence. That will make my water change today easier. Definitely scraping it off the glass.

Yeah, I've been thinking of adding more clean up crew. I've only got a fighting conch at the moment. He was MIA for two weeks but now is cruising around the tank again.
