Tank is officially a year old and going well. Corals are healthy and fish are happy. I do 20% WC biweekly on Tuesdays and test everything every Wednesday. I usually test Alk daily but didn't do that this week, just dosed a half dose every other day of Seachem Reef Fusion part 2 of the 2 part dosing. That's the one for Alk because I try to keep it at 9 dkh and usually every other day I needed to so I did it but I lost track and did it every day. Haven't had the need to dose calcium part 1 yet. Yesterday was water change day and these are the results this week
Temp 78F
Salinity 35 ppt
pH 8.1 API
Alkalinity 9.8 dKH Red Sea
Calcium 400 ppm Red Sea
Magnesium 1400 ppm Red Sea
Phosphate .03 ppm Salifert
Nitrate 2 ppm Salifert
I have been slowly adding more coral and I am getting growth so the drop is not unexpected but this is the first time that after a water change there was not a rise. I keep a line graph to chart the test results. I believe testing errors are the reason for the highs of cal and mag at the beginning of the chart.
My question is should I go ahead and start dosing both parts now or should I wait to see what the results will be next week?
