I am having a stupid moment today.. I have a pair of clowns (As well as urchin and emerald crab) in my old (3 year old) tank that I am planning on moving to the larger tank once it finishes cycling and is ready.

When I am ready to move them, should I still acclimate as if they're coming home from the LSF? Float/drip? or should I just make sure temp and salinity matches and I can pop them in?

Both tanks are using same RO/DI water and salt.

Are the tanks matched in parameters and temp?
If so it will be fine to just move them.
If they are different I would acclimate them IMO

I know people won't be happy with this advice but I upgraded to a 120 not too long ago. The upgrade took so long that by the time the new tank was set up it was 1am. I was exhausted and just tossed the fish in without checking salinty or temp. I used NSW for the fill on the new tank.

Everything made it.

Edit: should have said that I had all fish for about a year and everyone was healthy and fat.

If salinity is over 1 point higher (i.e. 1.024 in the tank the fish is in and 1.025 in the tank you are going to add the fish) then it MIGHT be a good idea to aclimate, if the salinity is lower it is usually fine (apparently most of the fishes are better in getting used to lower salinities than higher). I would not worry too much about temperature. I have seen a lot of people acclimating the temperature, then drip acclimating in a small container outside the tank before adding the fish to the tank (obviously, by the end of the acclimation, the temperature was more like the room temperature than the tank temperature). Anyways, I usually do not acclimate my fish when transferring between my systems.

Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about 0.001 difference; I've had fish that I've had to move quickly from 1.021 to 1.025 or 1.026 and although they should have been acclimated, I didn't and they are ok. It's anecdotal, but I've done it more than a handful of times for sure. Not saying it's right...

Anyway, CB is correct though, fish usually can handle a fair drop in salinity easier than a rise in salinity (1.025 to 1.018 vs. 1.018 to 1.025).
