I have to agree with you 100%. More biodiversity in your system is always a good thing.

yes, that is a risk. put rock in your sump or marine pure, copepods can hide in crevices that the amphipods cannot get to.

copepods prefer algae while amphipods detritus. So the ocean magic phtyo will help the pods population

And you may need to add more copepods from time to time.

You can pass on the amphipods, and instead opt for bristle worms, snails etc
