I sent in a ICP test and it's saying I'm low in several elements. Im currently using Instant Ocean and i'm wondering if i should switch to something like Tropic Marin.

Here are the elements it's saying i should dose.

Any reason you are looking at switching salts vs. increasing the volume of your WCs, increasing the frequency of your WCs, dosing the individual elements (e.g. triton), or dosing magnesium?

From what I've read IO has less trace elements than other salts so i though by switching to a different salt i could get these elements up without having to buy multiple separate elements. Currently im doing about a 20% WC weekly and i have magnesium to dose i just didnt notice it had gone down a little.

I'm debating the same here. I just bought a bucket of TM, but it was so expensive I may just mix the IO and HW reefer I have here. lol
I have to mix 275 g, yes, I set up one of those tanks and will mix and store water, I expect to mix saltwater every few months now.
Maybe Tropic Marin trace elements (A and K) could work for me, idk. I dose kalkwasser for Alk and Ca.

And I just received the Fauna Marin icp test kit in the may. Still have to send the sample. first time doing this.

I ordered some TM, and yeah its expensive, but I only do 5 gallons a week water change so I dont have to buy salt very often. I'll make the switch and in a couple month ill send in another test and see if it makes any difference.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
