So I've been reefing for about a year now and started having "keeping them alive" success with coral for the last 6 months. I have been dosing 2-part using my Apex and finally got it to the point where alk/calcium stay in the same range every day (168ml a day, 135 gallon tank). Well a GEO 612 calcium reactor, M3 regulator/solenoid (new in box) and CO2 tank came with this bulk set up I just bought.

So.....should I go ahead and make the plunge and switch to the reactor since I don't have any equipment to buy or should I stick with the 2-part dosing since it is "working" but a pain to have to mix a new gallon of solution every 3 weeks?

Stick with what's working. "If it isn't broken, don't fix it"

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. Just worried about the long term cost of 2-part as I'm dosing a lot now with just my frags and when they grow out I will need to dose a whole lot more.

LOL. Eric you must be reading my mind. Actually asked the question because I'm about a week before I am completely out. Probably the main reason I ask the question. :)

I'm adding a reactor to my system here soon. I posted a thread a few weeks ago b/c I'm new to reactors and got some good links in replies. I'll see if I can dig it up for you.

The first link, from the Atlanta Reef Club, really helped me a lot. I'm not new to reefs but have no experience with reactors and it explained things really well.
