Hello all,
I am upgrading the lighting on my 75 gallon from two Kessil A150 to two A360Xs and I was wondering if changing from a glass tank covering to a net tank covering would noticeably improve the light quality.
Thanks

It will let more light thru if thats your question. A net cover is better for gas exchange.

Somewhat. I use glass and as long as you rinse weekly, stays fairly clear

Glass can also act as a slight diffuser, depending on your light it may be giving a more even spread? Will reduce par slightly though.

I like the gas exchange with no glass though. But plenty of covered reefs do just fine.

If you remove it just be ready to have much more evap. If it's fully covered it will be drastically different once your remove it completely. I went from maybe 1 Liter to almost 1.5G a day on a 45G

I'll have to go back and find the study, but I saw something that said glass prevents about 10-15% of light from getting through. I'd still go to a screen, though. Your pH will thank you, which is great for coral growth.

I would. I did the DIY and it works but l am not good at screen install and it looks very DIY. I ordered a Clear View Lid. About a 75 day wait from Clear View.
