My phosphate is high at around .29 but nitrate is almost undetectable by salifer.

I started to strain out the water from frozen mysis, turn off skimmer and running a bit of gfo.

my current refugium light schedule is 7pm to 7am. Should I turn it down or off to help with getting some nitrate in my tank? If so how many hours?

my grape chaeto and culerpas are growing like weed.

your advice is greatly appreciated.

Run it 24/7 . But make sure to flip it everyday so all of it gets light . It focuses on phosphate. The low nitrate levels can be dealt with by dosing nitrate, like neophos

And I say run it 24-7(and making sure to turn it) because you have a phosphate problem obviously. Feed a washed frozen food like LRS or even rods food(a little dirtier in most people’s opinion) because they are supposedly washed in RO/DI water to remove a lot of the excess phosphates
