Should I Use This Tetra Filter?

Currently I am using a Hagen AquaClear power head with the quick filter insert. Inside of the insert there is a cartridge that I put activated carbon into. It keeps my water super clear, but it can be a little messy. Was thinking about the Tetra that has activated carbon covered with sock material. The cartridges cost a little over $1, which I could change every week. I have a 20 gallon high. Buy the way the Aquaclear sock material really sucks. Been thinking about rapping the cartridge in 50 micron polishing material. Thanks all

On my HOB filters I don’t use the cartridges. I bought mesh baggies from amazon, something like 100 for 8$, and I buy the activated carbon separately, then just make my own pouches to put in the filter. You can buy filter socks to do the same but they are expensive.
