Okay so my tank has been sitting Fishless for a few months due to ich. I have kept up with maintenance but not really my water chemistry as I should have. I let my alk get up to 12 from my usual 10ish and I am working on bringing it down to 8 at the moment through water changes. Currently tank sit at 10dkh and will take another month or so to get to my desired alk. I have some extra cash around and an interested in a few corals but don’t know if putting them into a higher alk tank then lowering it down will be harmful.

If it matters I’m looking at some lobos, trachys, plate, and maybe a scoly if I can find a good deal.

Current inhabitants and doing pretty good besides an monti digi and cyphastrea that I’m chalking up to the high alk. My hammer coral is getting it colors back as well.

Other parameters
1350mag
460 calc
10alk
8.1 ph
1.025 salinity
1-5 nitrate
.03 phosphate

Here’s a current pic of tank. Will be getting rid of some of the Xenia to make some room.

Wait until the aquarium is stable . Yeh it’s hard just letting it sit .

If you pay for the corals , I’m certain they will help you out .
