Should I worry about my new wrasse

I just got a green wrasse a few weeks ago. It was at the lfs for 2 years in the coral tank not for sale. He was healthy and fat when he went for sale. After the qt tank he been in my dt for 1 week very active. Then last night it was hiding or sleeping never came out for feeding. Then this morning he was out after a few hours. He ate some brine shrimp like crazy and some sea weed. Then tonight’s feeding again no sighting for dinner feed lrs. At what point do I worry or is this normal for wrasses. The pic was him in my qt

its normal. My melanurus wrasse did that while adjusting to DT.

Completely normal, sand burying wrasses have odd clocks and come out as they please.

I agree, but looking at that picture, it doesn't look like the OP has any sand in his display tank.

It did not have a sand bottom qt witch is what that pic is from did the bowl of sand witch was ignored the whole time in qt. He now in the dt which has about a 2-3” sand bed depending on the area of the tank

Totally normal for a sand burying wrasse. It's how they adjust to their new environment. Sometimes they will do it for several days and sometimes it's just a day or two. All depends. Both my Melanurus and Blue Star Leopard have been very bold fish in general and I don't think either of them spent more than a couple of days getting adjusted.

Any chasing/aggression from the other fish? That could sometimes encourage them to hide more at first (or hide a good deal, to the point of starving, if it’s severe)

Depending on the difference of light schedule between your dt and the store's schedule can account for some misalignment of schedule.

However, bullying is also another possible reason. What are it's tankmates?

FYI, as they age they lose the bright green, get aggressive, and flip corals.

It's unfortunate that they turn into jerks as they age as they are one of my favorite looking wrasses.

He starting to come out more.
My lighting schedule close to the lfs and he spent time in the qt with the same lighting. As far as tank mates he’s the boldest one of the group right now. I do have a fox face and flame angle. All others are very peaceful. I do have a juvenile Harlequin tusk in the qt for 2 1/2 more weeks with a diamond goby
