So I have an Evo15.it is about 11 weeks in and I'm not happy with the rock.i have a huge rock that I had left over from a previous tank that I put in. Now that I look at the tank I am convinced it is too tall for what I want.i would like to cut it in have horizontally and use the top portion.
The tank seems to be going good so I'm not sure if I should do this . The rock is a good 10 lbs so im thinking i will still have enough rock for proper bio mass

It will be fine to do that. I've had rocks out for over an hour, I did spray them down with a squirt bottle of tank water every few minutes to keep them wet.

This ^ Better to try to get the scape how you want it now rather than later. I always end up changing my scape around several times.

I agree that the rock should be fine out of the water for a bit. And I also agree that adjusting the scape now is way easier than when the tank has multiple fish, inverts and coral.
