Should my rock look like this?

I have the 13.5 Fluval Evo. I bought dry live rock for my tank. The one piece on top is regular live rock. I went through the diatoms, started getting champ and then my rocks turned green. Today they are brown again. Is this normal?i wipes the yucky brown off my tank glass before I took the picture which is probably why it looks so yucky and dusty.

Not out of control. Add to your clean up crew. . .. Turbo snails, Astrea snail, margarita snails and Trochus snails. Also reduce whites a little.

Normal ugly stage. Diatoms then GHA. a strong CUC should knock this out in a few weeks. Id recommend a couple large mexican turbo snails and a handful of blue leg hermits. If the algae gets too long you can remove it by hand and flush it. This helps the CUC as some dont eat it when it gets past a certain length.

Totally normal, tanks just cycling. Get some snails in there.
