I just reasently broke down my 96 gallon and put everything into a 190. The only thing new in the tank is the sand 60lbs of live reef and about 100 lbs of quarried rock. I was told this should NOT cycle the tank or at least it would only be a tiny 3 day or so bacteria cycle. Well day 4 my sand was just a touch of tan hasn't gotten any worse but today my sps have all their polyps retracted. LPS seems to care less and fish I don't think noticed. Could it be just a bacteria bloom using up all the O2 and be back to normal in a day or two? Should I really worry and is it going to get worse from here? As stated it is a 190 with a converted 55 sump.
