I just started buying coral last month and I am slowly racking up the $$$. I am currently shopping for a couple bigger colonies so I don't just have a big tank with a ton of small frags. The price really jumps up with colonies and I was just looking at Euphyllia, Brains and Acans so far. I just stumbled upon Master Scolies and my mouth dropped at the prices...

So, I thought I would ask everyone what is the most you have spent on a coral, what coral was it and do you regret it or was it worth every penny?

$30 is tops I ever paid for a coral.

Someday I MAY pay a little bit more.

Nems........$169 for my H Magnifica and it was worth it.

Any coral you see was $30 or less.

No corals right now, but those Master Scolies are insane, you can still acquire some nice, insane quality colonies at a reasonable price from the vendors on this site. Also, when they have sales on their sites, even better

Like I said, I just started buying coral last month, so everything is in a QT tank.

The most expensive so far are...

Neon Torch at $160 (Think I overpaid)

And my Blastomussa at $140 (The colors are amazing and well worth it)

These pictures don't really do them justice though. I need to spend some money on a good camera, but buying coral is my top priority at the moment.

I had to Google that. Very nice looking coral! Thats out of my experience level at this point, but my goal is to eventually navigate to more challenging SPS.
