I'm about to start a 50 gallon (36x18x18) reef with pukani rock and want to get some ideas on what to create!

I used Pukani as well. I really like the look of the rock. The last picture is how I sculptured a big round ball of Pukani... created a cave all the way thru it, added a small "stability post" in the front (which created another cave and overhang), and cemented a couple pieces on too to break up the "ball" look.

Just started a 90 g with 100 lbs of dry rock from reef cleaners. I didn’t use any epoxy or rods like most people, I interlocked the rocks together like puzzle pieces. Heres a pic

I got fancy with this one, I used half inch acrylic rod and drilled holes through the rock. I can slide the center three rocks off the rod to service them if needed. The weight of the top two balance out on the bottom one, the pieces on the left and right are independent of the center section.
