If anyone would like to show off their bar built into their stand I’m looking for ideas. I’m looking at getting a tank and steel stand and am pondering getting a bar countertop built into the stand either removable or retractable. 6x2x2 or 6x2.5x2 is what I’m eyeing for dimensions. Thanks!

Happy to :D

Been in place for maybe 3 years now. Great place for a cold beverage. In fact, it's about that time now :D

Steel stand, tank is 60" x 30" x 18" tall. Bar top was hand painted with coral and fish scenes, and covered with a quarter inch of bar top poly. Shelving units under the tank are non-structural, and removable.

What height did you go with? I’m thinking of a 40” height (2” less than standard bar height) after making a life size model in PVC. Going to probably wrap the left and front but not the right as it’s close to the stove.

Mine is standard kitchen counter height, 36". Helps make it easy to reach for maintenance and so forth. Nice and low. We have 4x 26" tall bar stools in the kitchen around the island. They work out real well when I want seating around the tank.

Many folks have to raise the tank so that there is clearance under the tank for equipment. I've side stepped that one, since there is no equipment under my tank. :D
