So I have some days off coming up next week. Gonna build a new stand. Really intrested in seeing what people have built!

Here's an example of a peninsula stand I recently completed. This is my first adventure in to the saltwater world. All the panels are actually removable for full access on both sides. I did this in lieu of doors for easier access.

I still need to finish it. I have been lazy. The panels are birds eye maple and trimed in oak.

I also used liquid nails and 2.5" screws to hold it together. All the other screws are 3" and the stringers are 10" on center lol. The ply wood top and bottom are liquid nailed and screwed down. Notching the 4x4s is the only way to do it.

This is my own personal stand built by myself, octo is hand cut, stained glass behind using tank lights, bottom lit by fuge light.
I built a 2x frame and the cabinet is freestanding, I canslide the whole thing out to get to gear if needed, w/out any obstruction.
Wood is African mahogany.

I was too lazy and had a company build mine. But it was made to spec including pvc under tank incase of leak in sump.

I am still in the process of the build, so I do not have pictures of the system running.

Nice stand! I have a metal stand too. What material do you have between your stand and tank? Also, what material are you using between the tank and the ceramic floor? Is that a cermaic floor?

Thanks!

Ron
