Hi fellow reefers!

We've all seen the sad looking corals in the "bargain tank" at the LFS.

Every so often you get rewarded and find a "diamond in the rough".

This Scoly I picked up for $50 a few months ago was pale and receding. I thought it was a bleeding apple, but with a little TLC it's turned into a real beauty with grays and purples starting to come in.

Tell me your story and show me your "diamond in the rough" corals!

Found this guy on its side in the bottom of a dark snail tank in my LFS- the smallest sliver of green peeking out- asked about it and it was given to me for free- a week later and can see 3 heads- getting chunky with target feeding-

Will do,
Unfortunately I noticed a single mojano poking out of it today near one of the heads- coated that bugger with frag glue and put back in tank- hoping I didn’t get any on that head but otherwise it’s doing well-

Same can’t be said for my ppe cyphastrea
Think I’m gonna lose that. :-(

So, I got a small little frag plug at the LFS last year in August of 2019. It had been too close to a coral and got stung really bad. The guy there was going to take the plug out and throw it away so I asked if I could have it. He gave it to me for free. A little care and seven months later, it’s looking great. :)
