My stater tank was a biocube i converted to a sump and trident. So it ended up having everything in the base, or mounted on the sides:

My son called it the Frankin Cube.

Just moved over to a nice 105 woth a lot more space (and better lighting)

Yea, still working on the electrical part, i put in a wall in the sump compartment to competly seperate out the controllers and electrical (the base has doors on three sides), i got it all to fit, but its tight am i am still working on the cable management and venting(which is why it looks like a rats nest)

I saw that someone is now selling control
System mounting boards that i would have gone with, except that i doubt i would have had the depth needed to isolate the section.

Looks like they just went on sale for about 20 bucks off what i paid for them.

I got two sets (each comes with 2 panels, a power cable and their little sensor). I ended up splitting them 3 in the main sump section, and a single one in the electrical.

I see alot of setups with power bars included. What items would you plug in to them and is the powerbar itself plugged into the Apex Energy Bar and controlled that way?

@Tuffloud1 - I cannot say for sure where those fans were obtained but, if you're looking for something like them, I would recommend starting at Newegg or CDW or another computer supply company. Simply look up, "computer fans" or "computer cooling fans."

Where did you get those white ventilation fans?

The fan is a 14” magnetic levitation fan, got it at Best Buy. I painted it white and cut a white acrylic piece to accomodate it inside the stand.

It is very silent, poweful and because it levitates when spins, has a longer life than regular pc fans. Good option to help keeping CO2 out of the stand

I just upgraded my sump and seriously cleaned up the area. I was pretty proud of it until I saw reefcowboy’s picture!

Nice job building the side cabinet for plugs, transformers and wires. Concealing it all with a door is a clean look. Easy access and loose wires will pay off each time you have to replace or clean equipment.

Yes right above the fan there are open spots so new air can come in

I was thinking that I would need to cut an opening on the opposite side of the stand to where the fan is to get cross ventilation. It seems like having an opening right above the fan would just pull the air from above itself and not grab the rest of the air in the stand.

It sounds like it is working for you though. Any issues with moisture?
