Best picture i have of the whole setup, was taken dring the kids bday party.

The top drawer opens so i can hide my apex, there is a shelve on the back where im able to put all the controls for pumps and power heads.

Mine is all mounted on the frag tank stand off to the side of the main reef, using mostly velcro. At some point I want to get some black acrylic or something to cover all of that.

Mine is a work in progress basically I did the same thing with my sump, I'm moving soon so I'm in the works of having a stand made. Went to a local welder he's charging me $120. I have a 2 ft cube and my sump is 20Lx20Wx18H. My new stand dimensions with be 36Lx30Wx30H. I'm putting bars across the top to hold the DT (leaving me with 6" of space on left right and back) my sump will sit 3" off the ground on bars as well leaving me with 8" of with on either side of it.

I like a modern look so I will be having acrylic sheets custom cut and magnetizing them to the bars. This leaves me with total access of the bottom when needed and closing off the sump area with acrylic will prevent any water or moisture damage. And an inside sheet of acrylic will be for mounting my equipment (vortech, apex etc...)

All my acrylic is put on with magnet strips so I can access at any angle if needed

Sometimes there are too many cables, sometimes they are too short. I tried to overcome this issue, by creating a relay box with cables coming out of it, instead of the normal box with power sockets. This way I could cut the cables to size. It ended up not being a very user friendly solution, though.

I added a stock upper unfinished cabinet to the side of my stand for additional equipment storage. I finished it to match the stand.

I just built an equipment cabinet for a friend of mine. It matches the trim and design of his stand. Not painted in the pictures, but you'll get the idea. The lower shelf is for his dosing pumps, notched out for the hoses, with containers and ATO reservoir on the bottom. Top has adjustable shelves.

Here is the one I just finished putting together for my tank. I only had 10" next to the tank to give you an idea of how skinny this thing is.

All the outlets are controlled by my ardruino for ease of use and everything else is velcroed in for easy removal.

I have 1 main thick power cord that powers the outlets and a hole in the back of the cabinet for the equipment cords to go through.
