da6d2003: you might want to get that rare little dinosaur fish off the ground that jumped...

nice setups guys!

i'm noticing that most of you have no fish (i think i see one damsel, couple shrimp, and one snail in all of these shots, heh!)

is that the case or are they just hiding in these shots?

Here's my setup.....I built it all myself over the summer...lots of blood, sweat and beers went into this one :)

it's currently operational and housing some of my frags and colonies, however, i'm holding a huge pile of corals for my buddy (his tank had a major crash last week). Once I get his stuff out, i'll be working on the eggcrate structure as well as installing more flow (ie. Tunze Nanos, or maybe a couple modified Maxi-jets).

Material: 3/8†Acrylic, glued with Weld-on 4 & 16
Bracing: Euro-Braced with 2" slats, 3/8" thick
Dimensions: 45L x 28W x 15.5H
Bulkheads: 1.5" for main overflow drain, 1" for backup-overflow drain, 1" for closed loop intake
Overflow: Modified 'Stockman'
Volume: 84.5gal (water volume 76gal)
Sump/Refugium: 2x 15 gal (joined via two 3/4" Uniseals, further sealed with lots of silicone I)
Circulation: MAG 12 closed-loop, w/ 2 Loc-line nozzles, Tunze (yet to be done), MAG 5 return w/ 2 Loc-Line nozzles
Lighting: 400W HQI Pendant (Hamilton 14,000K), Hamilton ballast, Lumenmax Reflector (ordered, waiting for delivery)
Substrate: 1" Calcite with CC top layer
Skimmer: Heavily modified Euro-Reef CS6-2+
Filtration: live-rock, chaeto, pulsing Xenia (LR placed near the overflow area, but most in sump and refugium)
