They shouldn’t puff up often! It’s a defense mechanism/fear response. If they don’t deflate then they can die most often if they accidentally puff up with air instead of water. It takes a lot of energy to fill themselves up like a ballon and it stresses them out. He’s only puffed up once in the last few months and that was because his dinner a live crab pinched him lol. It was so funny I felt kinda bad though. Sometimes they do practice puff to stretch or be dramatic haha.
