Show me your Radiant Wrasse

I am interested in getting a radiant wrasse, would love to see more pictures and hear your experience.

does it attack snails? I mostly only have big turbo snails so I am not that worried, just want to see some more pictures and owners opinions

also how is it with other wrasses?

IMO they are a little more delicate than other halichoerus wrasse. They sure won't take well too being harassed so be mindful of what other wrasse you have. I've been 0 for 3 with them through quarantine until recently. I found one that was at the LFS for about 3 weeks and eating well so I gave it another shot after swearing off of them. So far so good. This one I skipped qt on it as it went to my son's 125g which I don't qt that tank as it's mostly captive bred Ora fish. Most halichoerus wrasse ime don't bother cuc unless they get very big like 7" +. Not sure why they have such a bad rap for that. I've had dozens through the years so I wouldn't call it luck. Although there's a fair amount of reefers that don't feed their fish nearly enough so that could play into that.

I am not sure why Halichoeres iridis is not more popular. IMO, they are the most beautiful and unusual of the Halichoeres wrasses. Here is my female. If I can get another, I will try to keep a pair.

100% agree! How do you distinguish male/female with the Radiant?

I think they're hard to find. I've been keeping my eyes out for one for a long while. Eventually, I just went with a pair of yellow coris, but I would have preferred a radiant wrasse instead.

I was guessing face markings was the indicator but see the tail fin differences as well. Mine would still be a juvenile/female as well.

Best I had of anything fairly current. Maybe 3 weeks ago. My pics pale in comparison to yours.

May aswell whilst I’ve found this thread add a photo of my radiant (Id love to try find a male but I have no idea if my radiant is changing or not yet).
