Show me your Reef tank with canopies

Noticed in this hobby you don’t see a lot of tanks with canopies why is this? Show me yours! what’s the negatives and possitives?

The only thing I noticed at least with mine is I have to give the lights a heat release as it is a closed area. So I have a gap that lets the heat escape. Mine isn't completely finished as I need the highlights like the lower cabinets but we are getting there!

Very cool! yea if I do go with a canopy I been thinking bout top and cross ventilation maybe even a fan

Sort of like a canopy.
My ATI 6 bulb sits on T-slot rails with the door slider. It can slide back out of the way for maintenance or be removed.
4" off the surface of my 120.

Picture taken a few years back when my 55 split a seam and upgraded to a 90. Tank has progressed a lot, but the floating canopy is still the same. No wires, vents cut in top for heat escape. Plus obviously my wife likes to put her touch on things.

I miss having a canopy. No light spill into the room. No need to ruin the look of a rimless tank with an ugly mesh screen. No visible waterline to keep clean.

Love the canopy, keeps the light in the tank and not my eyes. Downside is it retains alot of heat from the lights. I had to drill holes in the top to let heat escape.
