I'm starting a 150 Galan build. This will be my first time using a sump and have mixed opinions and mixed reviews on how many chambers and what I should do with my Chambers in the sump. So I was hoping to take a look at it everyone else is so and make my decision based on what works the best. All info will help all pictures will help as well

Dual parallel sumps. 41*24*24 each with ATO and skimate locker in the middle. Fuge on each end. Carbon and GFO reactors. CO2 scrubber in back with 3* 36w UVs overhead. 2* CB wifi dosers. 2* BM Curve 29 Skimmers. 2* DCT12000 return pumps and 2* 800w heaters.

About 110g each, run 120g total through them on a 560g (96*42*32") tank.

It looks like a lot of you are running gfo reactors is that necessary if so what are the benefits and how hard is it to run gfo

Dam That's one heck of a set up. I eventually want to trick my tank out like yours but being 23 I do not have the money for all that sweet equipment

Small Red Sea S-400 sump with BK-skimmer / GFO and Purigen reactors.
Not a work of art but it get's her done.

What is the different black Electronics on the left side of your picture I know one of them is a dosing pump in the very middle but what's on the top and the bottom on the left side

I like ur set up simple and easy to maintain. The easier it is to maintain the more likely I am to actually maintain it

I called it poor man setup, but surprisingly it does the job nicely. More importantly, maintenance is very minimal. Socks (coffee strainers) cleaning/swapping, yearly sump cleaning, return pump quarterly service and daily carbon dosing into the denitrator. No WC as well since started more than 3 years ago.

The top is the Red Sea S-Series 2013 power center.
The bottom is a Teco TK1000 Chiller/Heater that is water fed from the manifold over my sump in my sump compartment.

The return pump is rated at 1800 gallons an hour so it pushes the reactors and chiller while leaving plenty of water pressure to going back up to the main display. I also keep a brand new backup main pump in the garage. (just in case )

The Apex controller is hidden behind the chiller just under the power center and the 1.5 gallon holding tanks for the Apex DOS pumps are hidden in between the back of the stand and my homes wall.

truffle22,
GFO reactors keep your phosphates in check. If you run one start off with a low dose of gfo (not to shock your reef). Once you get the hang of it they are very easy to run.
