Just looking for ideas on a new build. Here is my current stand. I believe it is made by Oceanic. It was a horrible brown when I bought it. Here it is after sanding, primer and about 5 coats of paint.

That is a vast appearance improvement to an Oceanic stand. Their tanks were well built, but their stands - not so much. That looks very nice.

Not sure who makes this stand but I wanted something different than the usual white and black stands so my LFS got me this stand thats a nice dark gray

Is that textured? Looks great!

this is a better shot..

My previous tank had major issues with salt creeps problems and wires everywhere above the sump. I do feel housing all electrical far away from the sump is so easy and cost effective to do. I put all the outlets next to the tank under a windows and it looks pretty cool I must say.

I like all the custom stands that are build 40"+ tall. The real estate you get above the sump is excellent and its much more fun to feed and observe at eye level!

All panels are held on by magnets. The columns are separate so it’s seamless. Not pictures is an iPad mounted into the wall that controls APEX and Reef Link

Here's mine just before I started the build.

That, with a little time in the shop, became this a few years ago.

Solid cherry construction, ebony inlay, DIY laminate top. It now has a matching canopy as well.

I traded that in to my LFS - I needed a XL coleman cooler to transport it in.
