Hands down, sinularia species are some of the toughest corals around! They should be studied. I’ve posted these multiple times here on R2R, because the pearl bubble is 27 y o, the regular bubble is 26 y o! Red slime, aiptasias, hair algae, flatworms, vermetid snails, low alkalinity, 2 power outages lasting 2 weeks with only battery powered aerators and water changes. Clownfish spawns and Midas Blenny spawns within the crevices. Any coral coming close will lose the battle against these. The pearl has been chopped several times the regular pearl has never been chopped, the skeleton left behind is impressively large, similar to a coral head found in the ocean. I have 1 12” diameter grow out of the pearl and 1 small frag right now for sale, local pick up only. If interested, you aren’t getting just another coral, but a historic piece of a coral.

I try to disuade my guys from bubble hopping which they want to do more than nems. I've chased her out with the grabbers a few times
I thought about chasing my clown away from the bubble. But I think it’s just too cool to mess with.

I have yet to see sweepers and I do not have any missing fish. Maybe I've just gotten lucky? Truly, my favorite coral though. It is without a doubt, the focal point of the tank. These are some pictures right after I got her. She is a beast. I adopted her from another reefer. They had her about 6 years that I know of but maybe longer. Her shape has changed a lot over the last few weeks as she is adjusting to the tidal current in the tank. She is more curvy now.

Is that your new tank? I am SOOO jealous!

Wow .. did I find my separated twin?

Ripped while Reefing is my favorite state of mind

You aren’t the only one with paraphernalia close to your tank. I used to wonder if it would effect my corals.

i have a couple decent lfs in my city. I haven’t seen a bubble coral in person, in years.
