Care to share placement/flow?

Mine seems to be very happy near the sand bed in my tank, medium flow and lower light. T5 8x54 watts over 120 gallons. Seems to be pretty versatile in what it can handle based on where I've seen specimens in other peoples tanks.

Just for fun I hacked up several different cyphastreas and glued them to a dead Milli and a fake coral made of polymorph. Will be interesting to see how they grow over the two structures.

Whoa. Very cool experiment. Can't wait to see results. Keep us posted.

I've noticed a change in the flesh on this Cyphastrea.

I've had it in the system for about 5 months now. Great growth and great coloration. I just noticed that the flesh around some of the polyps appears to look "torn". The areas where I see it the most are near the polyps at the lower part of the coral where it's encrusting over the live rock.

All other coral in the tank are showing great polyp extension, coloration and growth. This issue appears to be confined to this particular piece.

Has anyone else seen anything like this?

So the coral skeleton is slowly growing algae on the bare spots and the frags are starting to encrust, where the polymorph structure has no algae, and has much more encrustation from the frags. Will get updated pics soon.
