Show off your EELS!

It’s a female bird wrasse
Woah!! I like her! Might have to look into that for my 300 instead of the dragon or red coris! Love the way she swims

Actually just got it yesterday, but so far so good! Hasn't bothered any tankmates, and ate well on clam and shrimp today. Completely ignored the other fish while grabbing food, and seems to spend most of its time with the zebra eel.

Ah cool! Beautiful eel for sure. All yours are!! :)

Not sure if Ive shared yet but after a week and a half or so my new eel made an appearance enough to get a decent picture! This is Loki, he is a white eye moray! And of course Ivar and Ghost. They both like him too!

Got this guy 2 weeks ago. He was eating some squid the next day. He's in his own 20g right now for observation, but I don't anticipate him being in there too long.

His name is Eliot (Pronounced eel-iot, lol)

Resurrecting an old thread, but I’m having issues finding morays locally in South Fl (other than snowflake, ribbon, and banded). Back in hobby after 10 plus years. Used to have various tanks with a bunch of different eels. Where are people buying more uncommon eels these days?

In the case of my lfs, they normally ask local fishermen to catch it for them from the ocean which typically happens in a certain month and season, the common *most eel arrivals in the shop* is on March where I see uncommon eels, the fishermen on request drop out more fish traps into the sea which allows them to catch more eels, but I would still consider it rare

You all have some very awesome eel’s, i haven’t had a eel in about 20 years i used to have a good size snowflake eel and i have been thinking a lot of getting another eel but the only thing that is really stopping me from getting one is i don’t want to deal with anything that need’s any kind of specialized feeding,

Green and African moray! Thanks for looking.

Just got my eels in the tubs to go in quarantine!

Sadly one eel seems to be a bit injured at the nose but I am sure that it will eel with some metronidazole and praziquantel

I've got the i believe a common eel which is the gray faced moray which is the first shown in the video

The second eel I have no idea but he will look like a ******

The third eel is quite a bit injured near the nose but beautiful, i don't know it's exact species, it does resemble a chainlink but the colour is more lighter and was marketed in the shop as a peppered moray
