Show off your EELS!

More recent photos of my 15 year old Moray ( a guess on the age beings it has been with me for 13 or so years and it was good size when I got it) . I know, the tank isn't perfect but sometimes its best not to have a sterile environment. I have wanted to add more fish to this tank but I have found through the years of owning multiple fish tanks everything from 55 gallon hex, 55 gallon standard, 180 standard and this 270 gallon tank that if you add fish usually something bad happens.
This one is an example of how long they can live even with a amateur person like myself taking care of them.

This is huge, what kind is this one?

Here's my ribbon, roughly 30" long. Was incredibly active when I first got him but once he settled into his tube, he does what eels do. Took about 2 weeks of trying to stick feed him every day and eventually I found if I got the 2 Bluethroat Triggers in there with him all wound up with food he'd eat. Now he just eats like a pig and moves to whatever side of the tube allows him to awkwardly watch me when I'm in the room. So far it's been a great experience.

Jewel eel. We took in when a LFS was moving to new location and need a home. At first I didn’t want an eel, but now we Lov this guy. He only eats every few weeks and will eat all week long very agressly then not for a few weeks. Can feed by hand though. Beautiful eel!

It is in a 93 cube (30 x 30") and it took about a year. Super friendly, stays on bottom and great appetite when fed.

I have a Brazilian banana eel coming next Tuesday. It has always been my dream eel. He has plenty of large black blotches all over him. Ill post pictures when he comes in.
Finally got my guy fullying qted and happy. There seem to be a lot of ppl here with banana. Kinda crazy to think a 6-8 hundred dollar eel can be so common.

Nice looking Banana eel, I've had my about 14 months, and still growing very quickly. not really longer but thicker. How big do they actually get in captivity.

I personally find eels both mesmerizing and terrifying haha.

Mine is about 14 inches. I have heard they get about 30 inches or so. I have a buddy that has one that is about 26 inches and fat.
