No idea. I seen him at my lfs and had to have him. If anybody knows what he is I’d love to know too.

Gymnothorax moringa, aggressive eel commonly found in the Caribbean/Eastern Atlantic.

Here is a pic of my snowflake eel. He is about a foot long now. ....and he jumped out of my tank while feeding yesterday. I hope he is okay (I think he is)

He's still young, under 5 years, fully mature they will be at least 2' and about 3 times thicker.

Actually that tank is over a year old. Friggin' Diamond Goby is constantly excavating all the sand to the back corner, I rake it to the front, he moves it back, I curse and rake it again...

This clown trigger has ZERO fear. When the snowflake pulls the food under the rock he will chase in to get the scraps. When it is feeding time the eel nips at the triggers fins to chase him off, but it never seems serious.
