Hey everyone, happy sunday!

I've only had smaller tanks in my life, and some day, when I graduate I want to get a huge tank. Right now though, I want to expand my knowledge in the hobby so I can create the best possible tank. Currently, I am looking into sumps/refugiums, and I would like to get some influence, if possible.

Anyone have some cool refugiums with macro/other critters? Show em off! I would love to see some.

Just posted this in another thread yesterday. So, I'm recycling my pic for your thread. I'm using two 20G tanks - - real cheap, real EZ (no drilling). But not very cool looking (no "impressive" pts), and not real bells or whistles.

Some folks have such beautiful looking sumps with multicolored PVC and even accent LED lighting, perhaps they should put it on top of the DT and have the DT hiding under the stand.

nothing special but I am fairly proud. I have a 29 gal DT mixed reef with a mandarin among other inhabitants, which means I have to over feed and up the pod production.

Before I got the mandarin, this is the 5 gal HOB CPR that basically in packed with cheato and a heater

when I added the mandarin, I built this sump out of a 10 gal tank, including an acrylic over flow box. A 4 " filter sock, carbon and GFO reactor, 2nd heater (heaters hooked up to a WillHi temp controller), rubble rock and cheato in a egg crate box with a DIY LED, ATO and a sump float switch (from Home Depot) .

While not as pretty, I happy to report it's fully functional. Water level is spot on, my NO3 is 3ppm and PO4 is 0.08. Cheato grows aggressively requiring weekly pruning and the mandarin belly is full.
